Book Launch! HIV: “Our Responsibilities”

fi-bookletWe are very proud to launch our new booklet HIV: Our Responsibilities.

A huge thank you to the Dr Aislinn O’Donnell who helped us to put this together most brilliantly.

We even have a foreword by President Michael D. Higgins!

The launch took place in Dublin Castle at the Gay Health Forum on Friday 6th June 2014.

From the introduction:

This living document is an invitation to all of us to reflect on our responsibilities in relation to HIV.  It represents the voices of many people living with HIV in Ireland today and it seeks to begin a conversation.  It looks at the question of responsibilities from four perspectives: society, institutions, professionals, and people living with HIV.

  1. This is an excellent publication. It highlights the need for all of us in society to actually listen and see the person and not to see the illness.
Well done to the team at Positive Now for having the courage to put themselves out there and produce this resource which will have a positive on others.
